Enterkey by city

Local numbers, local panel brands and the apartment picture, city by city, across Canada and the United States.

Enterkey works the same way in every city: your apartment buzzer dials a virtual number close to your own area code, and the app answers. What changes from place to place is the detail: which area codes we can provision, which intercom brands installers favour locally, and how much of the housing is apartments and condos, which is why buzzers matter more in some cities than others.

The city pages below collect that detail from public sources, each one dated, so you can check that a number in your area code is available and that your panel brand is covered before you sign up. If your city is not listed yet, Enterkey still works there; start with how it works and the works-with pages.

What is a buzzer number in Canada?

In Canada, a buzzer number (also called a buzz code or dial code) is the short code a visitor types on the lobby panel to call your suite. It is often not your unit number: unit 1204 might be buzz code 215. Behind it, the panel stores the phone number it dials for you, and only the property manager can change that number. Couriers ask for the buzzer number; the dialed number is what decides which phone rings.

Find your code on the panel directory or in your move-in package, and put it in delivery notes. What is a buzz code explains the difference in detail, and the property manager request covers changing the number it dials.

Your city isn't listed? Enterkey still works there. Read the apartment buzzer guide and check your panel on the works-with pages.
