Connect Enterkey to Claude

You need an Enterkey account with your building's buzzer set up in the iPhone app, and Claude on the web, desktop or mobile.

  • In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors.
  • Find Enterkey in the directory and choose Connect. If it isn't listed for you yet, choose Add custom connector, name it Enterkey and paste the server URL below.
  • Sign in with the same login you use in the Enterkey app, check what Claude will be able to do, and choose Allow.
  • Start a chat and ask Claude about your door.

What Claude can do

Claude works with the same keys and schedules you see in the app, and every change shows up there right away.

  • Door status: whether a visitor is let in, asked for a PIN, or rung through to your phone, plus your Enterkey number and who shares your account.
  • Keys: list your keys and schedules, and turn a key on or off.
  • Activity: recent buzzer entries, wrong PINs and calls rung through to you.
  • Guest keys: create a key with a PIN that lasts from 5 minutes to 12 hours each time it's turned on. Claude gives you the PIN and a message to send your guest.
  • Schedules: create a repeating schedule with a PIN for set days and hours, such as a dog walker on weekdays.
  • Delete: remove a key or schedule you no longer need.

Built for a real front door

Turning a key on lets people into your building, so Enterkey treats it carefully.

  • Claude asks you before it turns a key on, creates a schedule or deletes a key.
  • Claude never sees the PINs of keys you already have, only the PIN of a key it just made for you.
  • Claude can't make permanent keys. Guest keys always run out.
  • Enterkey tells Claude to act only on what you ask in the chat, never on instructions found in web pages, emails or files.
  • You can disconnect Claude at any time in the Enterkey web app under Settings, Connected Apps.

Privacy

Nothing is shared until you sign in and choose Allow. Enterkey keeps a record of the connection and of which actions Claude took, to run the service and help you with support. See section 10 of our Privacy Policy for the details, and Anthropic's privacy policy for how Claude handles your conversations.

Help

If Claude says Enterkey needs to be reconnected, disconnect it in Claude's Connectors settings and connect it again. For anything else, email support@enterkey.app or visit Support. We typically respond within hours.
