Enterkey works with the buzzer your building already has. If your buzzer can dial a phone number, you can use Enterkey — no hardware, no rewiring, no landlord approval beyond a one-line change to your buzzer's directory entry.
Get your Enterkey number
Download Enterkey and sign up. We create a virtual phone number that's unique to your unit — it isn't tied to a SIM card or a specific phone, it belongs to your Enterkey account.
Point your buzzer at it
Share the number with your property manager and ask them to program your buzzer to call it instead of your cell. This is the only setup step outside the app, and it typically takes property managers one day.

Answer your buzzer from anywhere, or arm a key so Enterkey answers for you and lets your guest in automatically. Add a PIN when you want extra security.
What's a buzzer code?
Your buzzer code is the number your building's panel expects you to press to unlock the door during a buzzer call — typically 6, 9 or *. You enter it once during setup, and Enterkey plays it automatically whenever a key lets someone in.
Will it work in my building?
Enterkey is designed to work with all buzzer systems that dial out to a mobile phone number. If your buzzer currently rings your cell phone, you're set. If your building's system strictly requires an in-unit hard landline, Enterkey won't be able to control it.
