Which entry hardware gets serviced in Calgary?

How does a Calgary resident actually set it up?
Download the iOS app, collect your Enterkey number, then ask your property manager to update the directory entry for your unit so it dials that number rather than your cell.
Nothing at the building is modified. No wiring, no fob reprogramming, no installer visit. One field in the panel's directory changes, and from then on the buzz arrives inside the app.
Alberta numbers come from 403, in service since 1947 and originally covering all of southern Alberta, plus the 587, 825 and 368 overlays laid over it since, the newest of which went into service in January 2022. Do I get a 403 number?
Possibly, though 587, 825 and 368 are just as genuinely Albertan. 403 has been in service since 1947, when it covered all of southern Alberta, and 587 was laid over it as a province wide overlay in 2008, with 825 following in 2016 and 368 in January 2022.
Enterkey asks its carrier for a number near your own and takes whichever is available. The code has no bearing on how the entrance behaves.
I own my condo rather than renting it. Does this still apply?
Yes. Enterkey attaches to a directory entry, not to a lease. Roughly 31 percent of households in the city rent, which means a large share of the people standing at these panels are owners.
The request is identical either way: ask whoever administers the entry system to point your unit's entry at your Enterkey number.
My building has eight units and eight buttons. Is there a directory to change?

If the panel cannot reach an outside line at all, then it is an in building intercom rather than telephone entry, and Enterkey has no call to answer.
