Where does an Ottawa Enterkey number come from?
613 is one of the original North American codes handed out in 1947, and it had the region to itself until 343 went live in May 2010. A third code, 753, arrived in March 2022 after the regulator projected the pair would run out by February 2024.

Your visitors never see the number. They press your unit on the panel and the hardware places the call itself, without anyone typing digits.
343 has been in service across the region since 2010 in any case, and is every bit as local as 613.
Who updates the directory entry in a rental here?
Your property manager or building superintendent, whoever holds the login for the entry system. Ask them to point the entry for your unit at your Enterkey number.
It is a data change rather than a repair, so it does not need a contractor booking or a service call.
My panel looks like it was installed decades ago. Is it too old?
Age is not the test. A panel from the 1980s that dials an outside line works. A brand new screen wired only to an in suite handset does not.
