TekTone has made apartment entry and communication systems for decades, and plenty of buildings still run their panels in the lobby. Whether Enterkey works with yours comes down to one thing: telephone-entry TekTone systems that dial a phone number per unit are compatible — Enterkey simply becomes the number your unit's entry dials.
Which TekTone setups work?
If your TekTone panel rings your cell or home phone when someone buzzes, it's a dial-out system and Enterkey can take the call. Older TekTone installations that only ring a wired handset inside the unit — with no outside line involved — can't forward anywhere, so they're not compatible.
How do you tell if yours is compatible?
The test is simple: when a visitor buzzes your unit, does your cell phone (or a phone number you chose) ring? If yes, your system dials out — and Enterkey works by giving it a smarter number to dial. If your buzzer only rings a wired handset inside your unit and can't call an outside line, it isn't compatible.

What does setup look like?
Sign up, get your unique Enterkey number, and ask your property manager to put it on your unit's directory entry — for most buildings that's a one-day change. From then on: answer anywhere, arm a timed key for deliveries, or set a PIN guests can speak at the panel.
